The result of short film and group song competition conducted as a part of Indian Library Congress has announced. Koonam Grameena Vayanassala and Grandhalayam bagged the first prize for group song. M Savitha and team of Kannur University Music department won the second prize and Chekkikulam Krishnapilla Vayanassala and Grandhalayam won the third prize Total 16 teams participated in the competition. The judging panel includes renowned musicians Vinod Cherukunnu, K.M Bharathi, Suma Suresh Varma and writer T.P Venugopalan.
There were 28 entries in the short-film category . “Wings” by Deepak Devaraj selected as the best short-film. “Shabdam” by Amjith Sukumaran and “I can” by Karthik won the second and third prize respectively. Balakrishnan Koyyal, Prakashan Vadikkal and Dr.M Sajan were the dignitaries in the judging panel.
Cultural subcommittee chairman A.V Ajayakumar and convener V.K Prakashini stated that the prized will be distributed on the closing ceremony of the Indian Library Congress.
