Librarians’ workshop held at Kannur University in conjunction with the Indian Library Congress was notable for its participation. About two hundred and forty representatives from A grade A plus libraries in Kannur participated. The workshop discussed how to enable academic participation of local libraries at the Library Congress. M.K Ramesan, E.P.R Vesala, Vaikath Narayanan, V.K Prakashini and Mukundan Madathil led the discussion in the workshop which was inaugurated by Dr V Shivadasan M.P.
