In connection with the Indian Library Congress, 2023, a new venture of an academic program- a workshop was conducted for the librarians of A plus and A graded libraries in Kannur district . It became a huge success due to the positive responses and the massive participation. Nearly 250 delegates from different parts of the district made it remarkable with their active engagements. One of the major questions arises for the discussion was
how far the Indian Library Congress fuels the academic engagements of regional libraries at the local level and the ways to ensure that. Dr. V. Sivadasan, a member of Rajyasabha inaugurated the program at the Kannur University campus. Kannur district Library council President Mr Mukundan Madathil presided over the meeting, where M.K.Rameshan, E.P.R. Veshala, vaikath Narayanan and V.K. Prakashani also spoke at the workshop.
